Glens Falls – Glens Falls Greenjackets placekicker Alex Roca gets carried off the field by teammates after kicking the go-ahead field goal Saturday night against the Rhode Island Riptide. Roca was hurt when Rhode Island roughed him on his initial attempt, but stayed on the field to score the go-ahead points in a last-second 22-20 New England Football League quarterfinal victory.

GLENS FALLS — Alex Roca was hurt, but he stayed on the field Saturday night to extend the Glens Falls Greenjackets’ season one more week.
Roca had lined up to attempt a go-ahead field goal in the final seconds of regulation at Putt LaMay Memorial Field. He missed, but he was roughed on the play, giving him a second chance from 15 yards closer.
The former Queensbury kicker did not miss, booting a 30-yard field goal with 14 seconds left, lifting the Jackets to a 22-20 victory over the Rhode Island Riptide in the New England Football League quarterfinals.
