SCHUYLERVILLE — The Glens Falls Greenjackets are eyeing a much stronger finish this season than last year, and that’s helped by a better start for the local semipro football team.
On Saturday night, the Jackets cruised to a 44-14 victory over the undermanned Rhody Ravens in their New England Football League home opener at Schuylerville High School.
Quarterback Bryant Ward completed 10 of 18 passes for 206 yards and five touchdowns, two to Ceasar Thompson, as the Jackets improved to 2-1 on the season. Thompson caught six passes for 125 yards, and James Prastio Jr. added 94 yards and a touchdown on eight rushes.
